Micah Parsons could be heading out the door in Dallas if the team can’t figure out what makes the Philadelphia Eagles so good.
The Philadelphia Eagles know that in order to build the kind of dynasty they are looking to create, they’ll first need to end a decades-long curse in their own division first.
There hasn’t been a repeat winner of the NFC East since the 2003 and 2004 Eagles accomplished that feat. Since then, the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and New York Giants have laid claim to the top of the division before, but failed to have success repeating.

The good news for the Eagles is that their quest for another title may be a little bit easier than in most years. The Giants are a rebuilding mess, the Commanders could be seen as a one-year wonder, and the Cowboys are in a pickle of their own making.
A major pickle.
Because the Cowboys have waited until the last minute to always re-sign some of their drafted talent, they have been forced to overpay for some of those exact stars like CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott.
In doing so, it has capped how good the roster can be at this point.
The same thing could be happening again for Dallas – this time with Micah Parsons with an unclear ending in sight. Now, following the historic deal of Myles Garrett with the Cleveland Browns, it appears the Cowboys are contemplating not giving Parsons the deal he wants and simply moving on from him this offseason.
Or, at least that’s what the rumor mill says.
“For weeks, there have been murmurs about whether the Cowboys will actually give Micah Parsons a record-breaking contract — or if a trade could become a possibility,” FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz said on Twitter Sunday. “It still seems far-fetched, but with the market now at $40M per year, this situation is one to watch.”
A Cowboys trade of Parsons – however unlikely – would be an incredible thing for the Eagles. It could put them on the fast track to repeating as division champs.
And the fast track to another title.
