Chicago Bulls’ highest earner expected to be traded this offseason

Chicago Bulls will look to move their veteran center Nikola Vucevic this offseason.

The Chicago Bulls wrapped up their season last week with a 109–90 loss to the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament, officially ending their playoff hopes.

Following the mid-season trade that sent star guard Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings, the Bulls appear to have entered a new rebuilding phase. Now, they’re expected to evaluate what remains of the roster from their recent push toward contention.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls will once again explore trade options for veteran center Nikola Vucevic, who is entering the final year of his contract, valued at just over $21 million.

Despite Chicago’s struggles, Vucevic remains a highly capable contributor and could be a valuable piece for a contending team.

This season, he averaged 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game—solid numbers that reaffirm his status as one of the league’s top offensive big men.
