Sabrina Carpenter is inching closer to tying close friend Taylor Swift’s “1989” chart milestone.
Carpenter’s 2024 album “Short n’ Sweet” became the first album with four Pop Airplay No. 1s since Swift garnered five for her 2014 album, Billboard reported Friday.
While Carpenter’s songs from the album, “Taste,” “Please Please Please,” and “Espresso” had already topped the chart, her “Bed Chem” hit ranked in the top spot Thursday.

Carpenter, 25, famously joined Swift, 35, as an opening act for the Latin America, Australia and Singapore legs of the “Cruel Summer” singer’s Eras Tour in 2023 and 2024.
Only five albums have earned four or more No. 1 singles since the Pop Airplay chart originated in 1992, according to the outlet.
Other stars to reach or exceed this milestone include Katy Perry with six songs from her 2010 “Teenage Dream” album, Lady Gaga with four songs from her 2008 “The Fame” album and Justin Timberlake with four songs from his 2006 “FutureSex/LoveSounds” album.

SZA hinted that a potential collaboration with Taylor Swift could be in the cards for the two artists during her Friday appearance on the “Jennifer Hudson Show.”
The 5-time Grammy winner said the ‘Fortnight” hitmaker told her she was “open” to working together when they spoke at the 2025 Grammys.
“I mentioned that I would love to write with her and [would] love to build some things together. I love her storytelling. She was open to it. I think she’s awesome and I have so much respect. She’s so bossed up,” the “Kill Bill” singer, 35, told Hudson.
She also couldn’t help but rave over their recent connection at the awards show after Hudson shared a picture of the two taken at the February event.
“It’s so interesting to me. Every time she walks up to me or approaches me, I’m always like, ‘Alright, this is happening. Because that’s fully Taylor Swift,'” the singer gushed.
