Stephen Curry Trades 2024 Olympic Pins with Team USA During Opening Ceremonies

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was seen trading pins with his fellow Team USA members on Friday during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Curry will be attempting to win his first gold medal at the Olympics as part of a star-studded men’s basketball team that includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Edwards.

The 36-year-old has been enjoying his time overseas, surprising fans at the NBA Store in London on Tuesday before making the trip to Paris.

While he’s focused

on securing a gold medal, the two-time MVP is also taking in the atmosphere of the Games.

“It is a wild experience for sure,” Curry said in a Friday interview with NBC (h/t Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports Bay Area). “I’ve watched this plenty of times. I watch the women dominate or watch the men dominate and to be here and experience it for myself. Like, I’m a true fan out here.”

Pins weren’t the only object that he gave to his fellow Team USA members, as Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson revealed that she received some Olympic sunglasses from Curry.

The U.S. men’s basketball squad got off to a strong start in exhibition play, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record. Curry was a key contributor for the United States, averaging 12.8 points per game and shooting 37.8 percent from three-point range through all five contests.

While the team finished with an unbeaten record, the wins were far from easy. The United States narrowly defeated South Sudan after trailing by one point with less than 10 seconds remaining. The U.S. also edged out Germany by four points in the following game thanks to the fourth-quarter heroics of LeBron James.

Curry will look to help Team USA as they begin group stage action on Sunday against Serbia and three-time MVP Nikola Jokić. Tip-off is at 11:15 a.m. ET.
