Stephen Curry detailed the emotional message that wife Ayesha and his mother told him during TV reveal

Stephen Curry is one of the most outstanding athletes in planet earth. Multiple NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors and his incredible level on game backs him up and he has his wife Ayesha and his mother Sonya to thank.

They have reminded him that his faith in Christ is incomparable and that is the motor for him daily, as both are constantly telling him about this and everyone found out about it during his mom’s appearance on the Raising Fame.

“Ayesha tells Stephen before he leaves ‘Play for Jesus’ and have fun out there. That’s what she tells him before every game,” said Sonya Curry. “Stephen and I have a sign where we point to our hearts, touch our hearts, and then point to the sky. And that means play for Jesus. So I do that with all three of, of our kids when they played,” she added.

Stephen Curry himself spoke about it

His family were not the only ones that talked about this, as the Warriors star did so during an appearance on the Stephen Colbert Show. He was very open about this subject, showing a lot of emotion.

“When I was a freshman in college at Davidson, my college in North Carolina my mom texted me before my first practice. And she gave me a bunch of words of encouragement. Her favorite verse is Romans 8:28. So she’s like you need to pick a verse that you can go to in your times of need and can give you that inspiration. So 4:13 was for me. I still write it on my shoes to this day, every pair of shoes,” he told Colbert.

The previous has to do with the fact that he points to the sky frequently either before, during or after games or plays in which he excels and that is just a small showing of his faith that is never left out when he is on the court or even doing normal activities in his life.
