Hugh Jackman Jokes That Tom Brady ‘Crossed a Line’ in Eli Manning Beef

The age-old rivalry between the great Tom Brady and two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning has taken an unexpected turn of late. This is after Manning’s fandom for Wrexham A.F.C., an English soccer club that plays in the Football League One division, was revealed.

This recent development included a not-so-subtle message from Manning addressed to Brady, who himself is a co-owner of Birmingham F.C. Manning, who is well-known for beating Brady in the Super Bowl not once but twice, made sure to remind everyone of this fact as he took a friendly shot at his long-time rival via X (formerly Twitter).

“Now I can beat @TomBrady in football and fútbol! Go @Wrexham_AFC !” wrote the former New York Giants quarterback.

Brady, of course, had to respond. To clap back at Manning, the GOAT busted out one of his Super Bowl trophies while pointing out that he had another six of them in his trophy cabinet.

Brady then ended his quip by saying, “See you Monday,” which is in reference to the showdown between Birmingham and Wrexham.

It did not end there. Manning took to X again to send a video response, wherein he admitted that Brady’s jab “hurt a little bit.” It was at that point that Manning brought out Hollywood A-lister and self-professed Wrexham fan Hugh Jackman.

The award-winning Australian actor, who recently starred alongside Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds in Marvel’s megahit film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” took a shot at Tom as well.

“Listen, Tom, dude, I’m a big fan of you, but mate you’ve crossed a line,” Jackman said via his own X account. “Two championships, six claws, that’s eight. Don’t start it. Come on Wrexham.”

Jackman ended his message by saying, “I still love you, Tom,” which just goes to show that this was nothing more than friendly banter between buddies.

In the end, however, it was Brady who got the last laugh again. This was after Birmingham came out on top of their match against Wrexham, 3-1. After Monday’s result, the two teams are now level at 13 points atop the Football League One standings.
