As fans await the Chicago Bears to go on the clock at No. 1 overall, the mock drafts also continue to roll out.

NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah released his mock draft 2.0 this week, and had the Dallas Cowboys selecting a familiar face in Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton at No. 24 overall.

“With Tyron Smith headed for free agency, the Cowboys can have 2022 first-rounder Tyler Smith man one tackle spot while Guyton takes the other,” Jeremiah said.

This is not the first time Guyton has been connected to the Cowboys in mock drafts this offseason. Last month, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler also had the Oklahoma standout headed to Dallas at No. 24.

“After the loss to the Packers, I’m sure Cowboys fans were expecting to see a defensive player here. But Tyron Smith might leave in free agency, and if Dallas keeps Tyler Smith at left guard, left tackle shoots to the top of the needs list,” Brugler said in his latest mock draft. “Based on his raw traits, Guyton could go much earlier than this.”

The Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins also pegged Guyton, who transferred to OU from TCU in 2022, as a potential name of interest in his initial Cowboys offseason primer.

Guyton also wouldn’t be the first offensive lineman taken by Dallas at No. 24, as they selected Tyler Smith with the pick in 2022.

This year’s draft will take place from April 25-27 at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit.
