Reuniting a young joey with her mother at a wildlife sanctuary is a touching moment

This touching scene took place at an Australian wildlife refuge in New South Wales when a newborn kangaroo was reunited with her mother.

Little Joey was brought to the center with an in.ju.red tail, and after receiving necessary medical care, she was reunited with her mother. The emotional moment was captured on camera by volunteers at the reserve.

But for Joey’s mother, a visit to Lucky Stars Wildlife Sanctuary was a return back home. Several years ago, she went there as the rescue and gladly, she was released back into the wild in 2019. Now, Liddy is back to ask for help, once again. This time with her own Joey. Needless to say, the kind people here, including Kerrie Carroll, were happy to take care of her and her 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦.

In a video the sanctuary shared online earlier this month, you can see the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 kangaroo – named Leah – with her tail wrapped in bandages, rushing towards her mother’s warm pouch shortly after staff released her from the blanket. The duo will stay at the sanctuary for a few more days until they fully recover.

“She trusted us and came home when i.n.jured,” Kerrie said. “Kangaroos will often find their way home when inj.ur.ed or to show us their new joey additions.”
