Utah Jazz Legend Karl Malone Went On Bulls Team Bus To Congratulate Michael Jordan After Winning Championship

The Last Dance documentary featured the final season of the Chicago Bulls dynasty with Michael Jordan and the team that won six championships, including two against the Utah Jazz. They had a camera crew follow the team around everywhere during their “Last Dance.”

Towards the end of the final episode, footage showed Karl Malone going onto the Bulls team bus that was about to depart the Delta Center to congratulate and shake hands with the players that took a championship away from him and the Jazz.

Jordan was sitting in the back of the bus when Malone leaned down to hug Jordan. Many people took to Twitter to recognize the sportsmanship that Malone showed in that moment.

Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum had a lot of respect for Malone’s actions after suffering defeat.

College football analyst Kirk Herbstreit was impressed by what Malone did.

Earlier in the documentary, it showed a moment that was the exact opposite of what Malone did. In the 1990 NBA Playoffs, Detroit Pistons star Isiah Thomas walked off the floor rather than shaking hands with the Chicago Bulls. The Pistons beat the Bulls in seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals.
