The NFL great is also offering some of his football memorabilia in a dedicated Sotheby’s sale this winter.

The GOAT quarterback has decided to part with some of his greatest collectibles of all time.
Retired NFL superstar Tom Brady has teamed up with Sotheby’s to auction off his watches, jerseys, and other treasures this December. The sale will highlight the seven-time Super Bowl champ’s passion for football and horology, with lots that run the gamut from coveted, one-of-a-kind timepieces to historic, game-worn gear.
“I’ve been so fortunate to have such an amazing journey in my career, and these watches and collectibles really capture those unforgettable moments and all the hard work behind them,” Brady said in a statement.
The California native, who played for the New England Patriots for two decades before finishing up with a two-year stint at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has amassed an impressive collection of timepieces over the past 20-odd years. He began by buying an IWC GST Automatic Alarm to celebrate his first Super Bowl victory in 2002 before snapping up pieces from the biggest and best luxury watchmakers. Some of those rarities will go under the gavel in the upcoming sale.
One of the most spectacular pieces of wrist candy on offer is a unique Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon (pictured top) that was custom-made for Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time: The Roast of Tom Brady. The one-off showcases a white-gold case, a matching gold bracelet, a glitzy diamond-set bezel, a salmon tapisserie dial, and, of course, multiple nods to the football great. The standard indices have been replaced with diamond letters that spell “Tom Brady” and the Roman numeral “VII” in honor of his Super Bowl wins, while the movement has been engraved with Brady’s signature. The watch, which Brady wore during the roast, has a pre-sale estimate of between $400,000 and $800,000.

Another standout is his Richard Mille RM 35-03 Automatic Nadal (estimate: $300,000 to $500,000). Released in December 2023, this innovative timepiece is one of several that tennis legend Rafael Nadal has designed with the Swiss watchmaker and the fourth model in the “Baby Nadal” collection. The watch is fitted with a groundbreaking “butterfly rotor” that allows the wearer to control the movement’s winding speed and rotor’s geometry based on their lifestyle and activity levels.
Other horological highlights include a now-discontinued, rose-gold Patek Philippe Nautilus Reference 5980/1R-001 (estimate: $180,000 to $240,000) that Brady acquired in 2017 and a highly sought-after Rolex Day-Date Reference 228396TBR with an all-important meteorite dial (estimate: $80,000-$120,000). As Brady is a former IWC ambassador, the Swiss watchmaker’s creations are also up for grabs, such as the Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Edition “SFTI” (estimate: $12,000 to $18,000) the quarterback famously wore during his last Super Bowl Champion Parade in 2021.

On the football front, auction touchdowns include a game-worn jersey from his college days at the University of Michigan (estimate: $300,000 to $500,000), a wristband from the 2017 Super Bowl, a.k.a. “The Comeback” game (estimate: $120,000 to $180,000), and a Bucs helmet he used in multiple games throughout the 2021 NFL season (estimate: $100,000 to $150,000).

The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady auction will take place at Sotheby’s New York on December 10. Select lots will be previewed in Los Angeles, Miami, and Dallas, before returning to New York for the sale.
