The NBA is not in session right now, but the work never stops! LeBron James gets to work as the LA Lakers player posts a video of his intense at-home workout regimen.

As the NBA—and global sports in general—remains on pause, LeBron James is not letting the break slow him down. The Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar is using this downtime to fine-tune his physique and maintain peak performance, ensuring he’ll be ready when the season resumes.

Despite the ongoing suspension, James has been intensely focused on his personal training regimen. His Instagram followers, numbering a massive 63 million, have been treated to glimpses of his relentless efforts. In recent posts, James, drenched in sweat and shirtless, is seen pushing through rigorous resistance band workouts in his home garden. He follows up with weight training, targeting both his core and upper body.

He motivated his followers with the caption: “All band and core work! Let’s work folks! Who’s with me??? #StriveForGreatness.”

In a reflective moment, James shared a heartfelt video of himself revisiting old footage of his games with the late Kobe Bryant. The video highlights a touching scene from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where James and Bryant, representing Team USA, celebrated a crucial moment during their gold medal match against Spain. Bryant, who tragically died alongside his daughter Gianna and seven others in a January helicopter crash, continues to be a significant figure in James’ life.

Amid the ongoing pandemic, the NBA has announced a deal with the National Basketball Players Association to withhold 25% of player salaries starting May 15 due to the league’s suspension. The funds will be placed in escrow and returned if the season resumes in full; otherwise, the payouts will be adjusted based on the number of games played.

With no NBA games since March 11, the league’s return remains uncertain, but James’ commitment to his training and his tribute to Bryant exemplify his dedication both on and off the court.
