The Dallas Cowboys see Rico Dowdle as the key asset to end their crisis

In Dallas they are already looking to resort to anything to improve the attack

The Dallas Cowboys crisis seems to be unstoppable, every week they look worse, that is clear with the results at home and now as a visitor as well, but Mike McCarthy with the rope around his neck, has one or another plan to improve the offense and is the running back Rico Dowdle, who has not given the chest, but much is expected of number 23.

Rico Dowdle must improve to give Cowboys offense depth

Mike McCarthy, head coach of the Cowboys, has been under tremendous pressure with the poor offense and more so on the ground, but Rico Dowdle has looked very bad. In a total of eight games played, the No. 23 has just 374 yards and an average of 46.8 per game and still does not have a touchdown on the ground.

In a recent interview on the team’s radio show ‘105.3 The Fan’, Jerry Jones‘ son and executive vice president and chief executive officer, Stephen Jones, backed McCarthy’s new approach. Jones Jr. praised Dowdle for his performance over the last two or three games, saying his ground game was “more than solid”.

However, the executive vice president also noted that the ground game has not been the Cowboys’ strong suit in the last two games. But he also added: “I think when we execute it, Rico shows that we can execute it and do it effectively.”

We have to do it more and more. And as everyone likes to say in this league, the key to winning is to run the ball well and stop the run.

The Cowboys’ ground offense is ranked 31st out of 32 in the NFL with just 753 yards in nine games played and that is reflected in their 3-6 record. They have just three rushing touchdowns, so it is urgent that Dallas’ offense improves or finds a possible solution quickly.
