Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon was blown away after Taylor Swift performed their haunting song, “Exile,” on her Eras Tour, he revealed Wednesday. Read on for everything he said about the “out of body” experience.
The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end haven’t made a public appearance since Super Bowl LIX and have been spending the last seven weeks at secluded destinations and sneaking in and out of restaurants.
“A lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing. Despite their fame, they’re really just like any other couple,” the insider says.

“They like to cuddle on the couch and watch movies, play board games, spend time with family, cook dinner together and just hang out,” the source tells us.
“This is such a nice escape for them to finally be able to stay out of the limelight for a bit before they eventually have to get out in the public eye again due to their careers.
“This time away from the spotlight has been so refreshing for Taylor and Travis. They really cherish this time while they can because they know it can’t last forever.”

Vernon reflected on the enchanting experience during his appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday.
When the show host asked Vernon, 43, how he felt watching the Swifties sing along to their music, the songwriter replied, “Out of body. Out of body.”
Vernon said that it was a “pretty powerful” sight to behold when the pop star sang their collaboration for fans.
“To hear how that sounded — it was amazing,” he said.

The folk band was featured on Swift’s song “Exile” from her 2020 “Folklore” album as well as the title track from her other 2020 album, “Evermore.”
Vernon did note that it was unfortunate that he never got to join her on stage for the tour.
“Sadly we didn’t ever get a chance to sing it with her on her tour,” he said, adding, “She got to come sing it with us but I saw those clips and I’m like, ‘Gosh, they [fans at the concert] sound better than one of me can sound.’”
The “Cruel Summer” singer, 35, famously performed “Exile” solo during her Eras Tour show in Poland last year — with concertgoers stepping in to sing Vernon’s verse.
Swift was also featured in the tracks “Birch” and “Renegade” in the 2021 album “How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last” by Vernon’s other band, band Big Red Machine.
