Scottie Pippen made a surprising revelation about his ‘sour’ relationship with an important Chicago Bulls member.
During the 1990s, no team dominated like the Chicago Bulls. The organization won six NBA Championships led by none other than Michael Jordan.
Aside from MJ, the likes of Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, and more, played crucial roles in winning six NBA titles.
The mastermind behind the Bulls dynasty was legendary head coach Phil Jackson. While Jackson had an excellent relationship with Jordan, Pippen once made a shocking revelation about his bond with the Zen Master.

Scottie Pippen on Phil Jackson: ‘We don’t have much of a relationship’
There’s no doubt that Pippen was an integral part of the Bulls dynasty. But it’s also true that Pippen wasn’t treated fairly by the Bulls.
After all, a player of his caliber deserved much more than $22.2 million over 11 years with the Bulls in his first run. Pippen has been extremely vocal about his poor relationship with Jordan since retirement.
However, the 6x NBA champ once shed some light on his ‘sour’ bond with Jackson.
“We don’t have much of a relationship. I haven’t talked to Phil since my playing days. I think being out in the West Coast competing against the Lakers back in the early 2000s,” Pippen said, via Gimme the Hot Sauce podcast.
The Bulls legend believes him joining the Portland Trail Blazers and battling it out against Jackson’s LA Lakers was a key reason behind burning the bridges.
“It got a little bit sour there. It was a little competitive, the Portland and Lakers thing.”
Pippen revealed his connection with Jackson was never strong
Despite playing nine seasons under Jackson and winning six NBA Championships in the process, Pippen revealed he never had a strong bond with the legendary head coach.
“Me and Phil’s relationship has never been strong. I respect his coaching; he was great at what he did. But he’s just a different type of guy,” Pippen stated.
In a way, it shows the level of professionalism between Pippen and Jackson. After all, they didn’t allow their difference of opinion to get between the Bulls dynasty.
