Not even Tom Brady can break Victor Wembanyama’s sleep schedule

Another funny story about that time a future GOAT met a current one.

As we have learned several times over the last year, not only is Spurs star Victor Wembanyama a creature of habit, but he’s a dedicated one. He reads a book every night before going to bed at his dedicated bedtime. (I wish I could be that disciplined instead of waking up for work tired every morning, wishing I had gone to bed sooner, only to stay up late again the next night.)

The latest example comes from American businessman and CEO of Fanatics, Michael Rubin. He explains how Wemby came to his house in New York for dinner when the Spurs were playing the Knicks (so way back in November), and how he not only moved the schedule back to accommodate Wemby’s bedtime, but NFL legend Tom Brady also came over later to meet him. They visited for about half an hour, but once 8:50 hit, it was time for Wemby leave and get ready for bed, and he was gone.

It just shows yet again that Wemby is so dedicated to his body and doing things right that he’ll even turn down valuable time with one of the greatest athletes of all time just to make sure he gets to bed on time. Considering how late-night partying and clubbing can sometimes impact players’ performances, it’s comforting to know that your star will always make sure he is at his best.

This isn’t the first story to come out about Wemby meeting Brady back then. He posted it on Instagram at the time, saying, “Awesome to meet you, Wemby. Incredible young man. Usually I’d make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let’s be real… you’d send my jumper into the club level.”
