“Normally, I’d have been mad”: Snoop Dogg grateful after snub from Tom Brady’s roast

Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady” in May made headlines and was a topic of conversation for weeks. Many former teammates and coaches were in attendance as well as some of the biggest names in comedy.

One person who wasn’t invited and is now happy about that lack of invitation is none other than rapper and host Snoop Dogg. He was a guest on Monday’s episode of the “Let’s Go” podcast and told Tom Brady that, at first, he was a bit insulted that Brady wouldn’t invite him to the roast.

Snoop then realized that he was quite fortunate that he didn’t participate in the roast when he heard some of the jokes and dialogue that were involved.

“Tom, thank you. Thank you for not having me come to your roast, because I didn’t want to be a part of this. Thank you for leaving me out. Man, no, some real s**t. Like, normally, I’d have been mad, like, ‘how the f*** you leave me out?’ But I was, like, ‘Nah, thanks, Tom. Appreciate that.'”

Snoop Dogg then continued by saying that the reason he wasn’t at the roast was because he is Tom Brady’s real friend.

“Thank you for leaving me out of that s**t. I was on the sideline watching, like, ‘Hey, man, I’m your real friend, look me over here,'” Snoop Dogg said.

Tom Brady shocked about having to work on Thanksgiving Day

Tom Brady is in his first season as a broadcaster for FOX Sports, calling the “Game of the Week” alongside Kevin Burkhardt every Sunday. After calling the Week 12 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers, Brady did a live recap with the FOX Sports studio crew.

Host Curt Menefee joked with Brady that Michael Strahan didn’t know that he had to work Thanksgiving during his first season. He then asked the seven-time Super Bowl champion if he was aware that he had to call a game on Thursday. Brady’s reaction went viral on social media as he jokingly looked shocked that he had to work.

“Hey, Tom, (Michael) Strahan’s first year he learned that he actually had to work on Thanksgiving Day. He thought he had it off. Did they tell you that before you came? You have to work on Thanksgiving Day this year,” Curt Menefee asked Brady.

“What?” Brady jokingly asked.

FOX Sports broadcast the Dallas Cowboys’ annual Thanksgiving game, which will have the New York Giants as the opponents this year.
