Although he has his share of detractors who refuse to give him full credit for his accomplishments, Kevin Durant has clearly been one of the three best players in the NBA over the last 12-15 years, not to mention one of the more special players the league has seen in a while.
He isn’t an athletic freak, but he has become one of the better players in basketball history because of his incredible scoring skill and smoothness while operating off the dribble.
While on “Up & Adams,” Durant was asked about an acrobatic layup Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant converted on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets, and he responded by calling Morant “the most athletic person” he’s seen.

Morant missed most of last season due to a 25-game suspension and a subsequent shoulder injury, and he seems to be gradually regaining his usual form to start this season.
He’s averaging 20.7 points, 9.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds a game, and he scored 25 points in Monday’s game against the Nets.
Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, they lost that game by the score of 106-104, dropping their season record to a disappointing 4-4.
Many expected that the Grizzlies would re-emerge as a force, if not a championship contender, this season, especially after a couple of young players broke out for them last season after they lost multiple key players to injury.
But they will ultimately only go as far as Morant, who may be the most athletically gifted point guard in basketball history, is able to take them, especially come playoff time.
