Jerry Jones ignores everyone and sticks to his idea of not changing anything with the Cowboys

Troy Aikman is wrong if he thinks Trey Lance could be the heir to his glories or the ‘facilitator‘ for the Dallas Cowboys to tank; and raising his voice to sit Cooper Rush is not the solution to the serious problems the team has, although given the circumstances giving the young North Dakota State graduate a chance, would not hurt anyone.

The legendary QB asked in different forums that Rush be put aside once and for all and Lance be put in control, since it is now irrelevant when Dak Prescott is out of the equation and his backup has not measured up.

Aikman pushes, Jones resists

Aikman joined the Cowboys in the 1989 Draft as the first overall pick, after the team had fallen to the lowest point of the season that year, and somehow the legendary player suggests that today the solution may lie there, but Jerry Jones is standing firm in his decision not to ‘tank’ and to try to pull pride with what he has in the next four games of the ‘Lone Star’ team this campaign.

With less than 1% hope of making the playoffs, the Cowboys should, according to Aikman, give Trey Lance the opportunity and offer something different in these games against the Panthers, Buccaneers, Eagles and Commanders, to what Cooper Rush has offered, which has ended up being more of the same.

Jerry Jones stands firm with Cooper Rush

Jerry Jones wants to win and that well-known DNA is what prevents him from even thinking about the possibility of tanking and he said so on 105.3 The Fan: “We want everyone to make plays and have the opportunity to succeed. Success is very important… We’ll go out and win every attempt. Cooper still gives us the best chance to win. And wins are important to us. Very important to us

So the possibility of looking for a new Troy Aikman in the next Draft is not on the table, especially since it would be at the cost of betraying the franchise and its own nature.
