The 29-year-old wideout signed with the Raiders last offseason, but abruptly retired before the season began.

According to reports from NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, former Cowboys WR Michael Gallup intends to come out of retirement and continue his NFL career.
After six seasons with Dallas, he was released by the Cowboys last offseason and signed a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders in April 2024. But Gallup had a change of heart in late July and instead chose to retire and sit out the 2024 season.
Gallup, who just turned 29 years old, has 266 career catches for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was Dallas’ third-round selection out of Colorado State in the 2018 draft and built a strong career with the Cowboys that he turned into a five-year, $62.5 million contract ahead of the 2022 season.
When he last played in 2023 for the Cowboys, Gallup finished with 34 catches for 418 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games. The Raiders released him from the reserve/retired list on Friday to begin his comeback process.
