The WNBA has more eyes on it this season than it has had in years, and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady of all people, is absolutely loving it.
The NFL legend became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Aces back in March of 2023. Since then, the team won its second straight WNBA championship, and now has one of the better records in the league. In a recent interview with ABC, Brady talked about how proud he is to be a minority owner of the Aces.
“The players are phenomenal athletes with an amazing work ethic,” Brady said. “They continue to prove they are the toughest team to compete against and I get to be in a front-row seat watching and admiring.”
If there is someone who knows a thing or two about what it takes to win and have a great work ethic, it is the seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl MVP.
The Aces are currently 10-6, which places them fifth in the WNBA. They also have one of, if not the best player in the league, A’Ja Wilson.
She is currently the front-runner for MVP, as she is leading the WNBA in points per game, rebounds per game, and blocks per game. She has already won two MVP awards, and she is looking to add more to her trophy case.
Brady is very supportive of the Aces and the WNBA, which is good to see, as the league is now getting a lot of the attention that it has deserved for some time.
