Early Reports Reveal That the Los Angeles Lakers Are Poised to Land Bronny James in the 55th NBA Draft Pick

The 2024 NBA Draft has been majorly about LeBron James’ eldest son, Bronny James. The reason is not hard to comprehend. Being the son of the arguable GOAT, his destination has been speculated to be the same as his father since he declared for the draft. With the big day rapidly approaching, an NBA Insider indicated the possibility of it becoming a reality.

Sharing the details of the mock draft for HoopsHype, Michael Scotto stated, “Bronny James is entrenched to the Los Angeles Lakers with the No. 55 overall selection.” Highlighting Bronny’s attributes the insider further added, “James has a strong physique and is more athletic than the average point guard. He can hit NBA three-pointers. Defensively, he’s constantly engaged as a physical on-ball defender who creates steals as an off-ball defender.”

Bronny has been the basketball fans’ target from the beginning. His poor performance for the USC Trojans acted as fuel to that. Even before entering the league, he faced backlash and harsh criticism for his relationship with LeBron.

Many even believed the 39-year-old would use his connection to get Bronny into the same team as his. Though the 4-time champion expressed such a desire, the notion was later discarded.

The father-son duo share a great bond and to see them playing in the same jersey is the dream of every LeBron fan. Even if that does not work, there’s a probability that they will face off against each other at some point. Amid such a crucial stage, Bronny has eased up and shown gratitude towards his father for the opportunities he has provided.

Bronny James Gives Credit to Father LeBron James

In the latest episode of “Sneaker Shopping With Complex” Bronny thanked LeBron for allowing him to choose shoes from his collection. The host dug up an old picture featuring the James brothers, Bronny and Bryce, which was supposedly their first day of school.

The main focus was on the Air Jordan shoes. When asked how he felt picking up matching shoes with the outfit, the point guard said, “Special. All the opportunities my dad has given me, the ability to pick any shoe.”

LeBron has his signature shoe line with Nike and has been associated with the brand for two decades. Seems like, his lifetime contract with the sneaker giants is enjoyed by his children too.
