Dennis Rodman On If LeBron Played In the 90s: “I’d Still Say Scottie Pippen Was The Second-Best Player Behind Michael.”

Scottie Pippen may have been regarded as a sidekick, but make no mistake about it: the dude was a bonafide superstar.

As, arguably, one of the best two-way players in the game, Pippen was an elite talent on both ends of the floor and it allowed him to thrive in myriads of ways.

But how much better is he than others who played in his day? Is he better than LeBron James?

According to his former teammate Dennis Rodman (who is, admittedly, a bit biased), even if King James himself played in the 90s, it would be Scottie who’d be number two.

“He revolutionized the point-forward position. All these players today should thank Scottie Pippen. Guys like Kevin Durant should say, ‘Wow, look what you did for us.’ Scottie could handle, he could shoot the ball, he could defend, he could rebound.

“If LeBron was playing during the ’90s, I’d still say Scottie Pippen was the second-best player behind Michael.”

Scottie was truly a jack-of-all-trades, much like LeBron is today. Both players can do basically everything on the basketball court. Though, LeBron was much more efficient at it than Pippen.

Still, for a guy who played no.2 his whole career, Scottie Pippen did a lot of miraculous things. It makes you wonder what he could have done in bigger shoes.
