As his son Shedeur Sanders prepares for the NFL Draft, many fans and analysts are wondering if Sanders himself might make the leap to the professional ranks. Despite the growing rumors, Sanders has been clear about his current priorities.

According to FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz, Sanders has not engaged in talks about leaving Colorado and is fully focused on finishing the season strong.



“I love it where I am,” Sanders emphasized during a recent interview, trying to put an end to the speculation.

Among the most discussed possibilities is Sanders joining the Dallas Cowboys, a team he once played for during his Hall of Fame NFL career.

Analysts have eagerly speculated about this pairing, with Stephen A. Smith suggesting the Cowboys should replace Mike McCarthy with Sanders and draft Shedeur to complete the dream scenario.

Paul Finebaum has echoed these sentiments, calling Sanders a great match for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys organization.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter also chimed in, labeling the idea “logical” and suggesting it could become a serious option during the offseason coaching cycle. “

We’re not saying it’s happening,” Schefter clarified. “We’re saying that this is one of those options that’s going to heat up, that’s going to be in play this offseason.”



While the allure of coaching “America’s Team” is undeniable, Sanders seems grounded in his current mission.

When asked by former Cowboys teammate Michael Irvin about the possibility, Sanders humorously responded by showing Irvin Colorado’s practice field during their interview.
