Cowboys star QB Dak Prescott has gone viral for looking like he’s in the best shape of his life

Dak Prescott is in the best shape of his life ahead of the 2025 season.

Prescott suffered a partial avulsion of his right hamstring in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, and was ruled out for the rest of the 2024 season.

In his absence, the Cowboys finished 7-10, and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Fans will be hoping that the upcoming campaign will be a very different story, and Prescott’s early work has already caught the eye.

New footage shows the franchise quarterback working out at the Celina Bobcats Athletics Complex in Texas.

But it wasn’t his passing that fans were focused on, with many instead noticing a difference in his physique.

Prescott appears to have slimmed down, and was moving very comfortably on his hamstring. Some speculated he was down from 238 lbs to 205 lbs — a 33 lbs weight loss — although those numbers seems highly unlikely.

The footage, which was posted by big.bmedia on Instagram last week, soon went viral on X after being re-shared on that platform.

“I really hope for Lamar Jackson athleticism, Dak was really him when he used to run,” another said.

“Commanders got that boy wanting to prove himself,” a third joked.

While Prescott’s offseason work appears to have some Cowboys fans excited, many others remained sceptical over how it will translate to the regular season.

“Dak is like Tony Romo every season… INCREDIBLE hype and then a sad fizzle out to end each season,” one person said.

“Will it make him a better quarterback in the playoffs? Probably not because Dallas won’t make the playoffs…” another responded.

A third wrote: “We hear the same bs about Cowboys players every year and they play the exact same.”

Prescott will be the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL next season, and will earn $60million in Dallas.

He signed a four-year, $240m contract extension last September, which gave him the highest average annual value in NFL history.

Despite paying mega money for their franchise guy, shock reports last week suggested that the Cowboys could be open to trading Prescott to the Cleveland Browns.

A bombshell claim from Bruce Drennan, a Cleveland-based sportscaster, suggested he’d received a tip from a ‘pretty darn good source within the Browns organization’ that the two teams were allegedly in talks over the quarterback.

However, NFL Network Insider Jane Slater quickly rubbished the report, adding that two sources told her it was ‘fake news’.

It’s almost certain, then, that Prescott will be suiting up for the Cowboys in 2025.

After missing much of last year, he will be hoping to stay healthy and lead his team back to the playoffs after they came up short in 2024.
