Chicago Bulls: Excitement mounts amid Giannis Antetokounmpo’s trade admission

The Chicago Bulls are expected to be one of the many teams that will be on the phone this summer trying to land a big. Zion Williamson, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Vucevic could be trade targets in the offseason.

The Bulls were one of a few teams on Giannis’ list of places he would like to play for at some point during his time in the NBA.

Giannis could be headed to one of those teams in the near future.

Per Shams Charania of ESPN, Giannis is making it known for the first time that he’s “open minded” to being traded from the Milwaukee Bucks.

“The two-time NBA MVP has not made any firm decisions on his Bucks future after the franchise’s third consecutive postseason exit in the first round, but for the first time in his career, Antetokounmpo is open-minded about exploring whether his best long-term fit is remaining in Milwaukee or playing elsewhere, league sources told ESPN,” Charania wrote.

Bulls fans hoping to land Giannis were excited on social media about the announcement.

“For the good of world basketball, Giannis has to go to the Chicago Bulls,” wrote a fan.

“Today is the day that changes the Bulls future. They will beat the odds and land the ticket to Cooper Flagg and send him and others to the north for Giannis,” posted another.

“Chicago my boy @Giannis_An34,” suggested a fan.

“Giannis to the Bulls please,” hoped another.

“Here we go again Giannis to Bulls is on,” believes a fan.

“I know they’ve never really landed a big free agent or a big trade but if the Bulls can get Giannis that would be spectacular,” posted another.
