The season did not go as well as they had hoped for the San Francisco 49ers. The same can be said about Niners star quarterback Brock Purdy, who followed up a breakout 2023 campaign with a rather lesser season in 2024.
It’s not as if Purdy was terrible this past year, but there’s no denying that his numbers took a significant dip from his Pro Bowl campaign in 2023. His passing completion rate fell from 69.4% last season to 65.9% in 2024. From 31 touchdowns in 2023, Purdy had just 20 this past season.
At this point, it would be safe to say that Purdy’s dip played a role in San Francisco finishing with a 6-11 record and dead last in the NFC West.

Right now, though, Purdy is making the most of his offseason before he gets back to the grind. On Thursday, his wife, Jenna Purdy, shared an update on what she and the Niners star have been up to of late.
In her Instagram stories, Jenna Purdy shared a couple of photos set against the backdrop of the Arizona mountains. She geo-tagged The Global Ambassador Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona, which is roughly a 40-minute drive from where Brock Purdy grew up in Queen Creek, Arizona.
In another post, Jenna Purdy shared a video of Brock Purdy skateboarding.
“Just a casual day w/ the bros,” she captioned her post, tagging Brock Purdy’s brother, Chubba Purdy, who just completed his senior year as the quarterback of the Nevada Wolf Pack.
It is worth noting that Brock Purdy is now eligible for an extension after completing his third season with the Niners. When San Francisco selected him in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the former Iowa State standout signed a four-year rookie deal worth $3.7 million.
At this point, it remains to be seen if the Niners will offer him a big-money extension ahead of the 2025 season.
