Cowboys' $240 Million QB Dak Prescott Makes Feelings Clear on Brian Schottenheimer Possibly Taking Over as

Anew era has begun with the arrival of Brian Schottenheimer as the new Head Coach for the upcoming season, and the mission looks really complicated. Dallas is a team that is always under the spotlight, and at the moment, in the NFC East division, things look very challenging.

In the division are the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders, who faced off in the conference final last season. Therefore, Dallas’ goal now is to have a team that can compete with these two contenders.

The Dallas Cowboys have many needs, including the running game, which was terrible last year, the offensive line, especially after the retirement of guard and soon-to-be Hall of Famer Zack Martin, and also a No. 2 receiver who can become a weapon for Dak Prescott.

Brian Schottenheimer is said to have his sights on Tyler Lockett

There’s no doubt that CeeDee Lamb is the main receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. The former Oklahoma player signed a four-year, $136 million extension in 2024, with $100 million guaranteed. However, the team is looking to add depth to the position.

One of the big options linked to the Cowboys is the experienced receiver Tyler Lockett, who is currently available in free agency and is also living in Texas during this offseason.

Another notable aspect, and the reason why Lockett would be ideal for Dallas, is that Brian Schottenheimer knows him well. The current Cowboys Head Coach was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, where Lockett had two seasons with over 1,000 yards.

Lockett has only played for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. He was released on March 5 after spending 10 years with the franchise and is now looking for a new destination. It’s been reported that another interested team could be the Las Vegas Raiders.
