Trey Lance’s career has been a true rollercoaster, and he is a clear example that, despite having all the talent to shine, the NFL is unpredictable, and you never know what awaits you.
The former North Dakota State University player went from being the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft to facing an uncertain future, but everything has changed recently.

Trey Lance finds a team
The former first-round quarterback had to enter free agency after his contract with the Dallas Cowboys ended.
At just 24 years old, many consider him one of the most talented players with a lot of potential yet to show. Not far from the Bay Area, the Los Angeles Chargers offered him a one-year contract with a $7 million salary.

This prompted a positive reaction from his former teammate and competitor, Dak Prescott, who said via social media, “Yesssir! LFG.”

With the Chargers, Trey Lance will have to work to earn even the backup position, as the team also has Taylor Heinicke on the roster and, ahead of him, Justin Herbert.
Thank you for watching
The good news for the former ND State player is that he will continue in the NFL, where he has struggled significantly and has not managed to become the player they promised would take the league by storm.
Trey Lance, who will turn 25 next month, remains younger than prominent 2024 rookie quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix. However, despite his high draft status, Lance has yet to see significant playing time in the NFL.

In his second season with the San Francisco 49ers, Lance suffered an injury and was unable to outcompete Jimmy Garoppolo or Brock Purdy for the starting role. This led the 49ers to part ways with their high-risk pick after just two years. Subsequently, Lance didn’t take a single snap for the Dallas Cowboys in 2023, though he saw limited action and eventually started in their season finale last year.
Over his four-year career, Lance has started five games, accumulating 1,063 passing yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions.
As Dak Prescott recovers from a hamstring injury that interrupted his last season, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys is gearing up to meet the high expectations that come with his new 4-year, $240 million contract.
However, off the field, Dak and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, are focused on a completely different chapter of their lives: eagerly awaiting the birth of their second daughter after getting engaged last year.
The Baby Shower that stunned everyone
Sarah Jane’s baby shower was a true celebration of style and joy. The expectant mom dazzled in a floral maternity dress in shades of yellow, which perfectly complemented the event’s decor.
Through her Instagram account, Sarah Jane shared her happiness with her followers: “This has been the most beautiful baby shower I could have ever imagined to celebrate our little girl,” she wrote, giving a special thank you to her friend Amanda for organizing the event.
Dak Prescott also joined the celebration with their young daughter, who wore an aquamarine dress matching her mom’s. While the quarterback opted for a more relaxed look with a baseball cap and casual attire, it was clear he was excited to be with his family at this special moment.
Sarah Jane Ramos’ baby shower was an event full of love, fun, and elegance, where family and friends gathered to celebrate the arrival of their second daughter, while the radiant mom-to-be stole the show with her glowing presence.
