The Buffalo Bills have a collection of draft picks from last week that are outspoken and ready to take the NFL by storm.
When rookie classes talk themselves up, is it a matter of them not knowing any better, or having a kind of bravado that can lead to excellence right off the bat.
Whatever it may be, the Buffalo Bills may have a ton of it from the 2025 class.
Key players like cornerback Maxwell Hairston and T.J. Sanders have spoken out about the kind of impact they can have on the Bills this season. Third round rookie edge rusher Landon Jackson believes he can be compared to one of the best edge rushers in the league as well.
“One guy is Maxx Crosby,” Jackson said via team reporter Maddy Glab. “He’s a dog. He’s a high-motor player. He knows how to fly around in the pass game and get after the quarterback, and then in the run game, he knows how to set an edge and be a dominant defensive end.
“That’s the guy that I model my game after. I feel like we have a lot of similarities in body type and play style.”
The 2025 class carries a big stick for the Bills. It should endear well to the fans in Western New York, at least before the real games begin. If Buffalo’s rookie class can get them over the hump, it will only increase the aura of the entire collection.
If not, then this class may be more bark than bite – and that’s not a good thing to deal with after just one year.
