Green Bay Packers rookie Matthew Golden earns more than any of his wide receiver teammates

The Green Bay Packers officially signed rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden (21) to a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $17.58 million on Tuesday.

That means Golden will officially be earning, on average, more than any of his other wide receiver teammates this upcoming season.

Other wide receivers’ contracts for the Packers include the following (yearly average):

Christian Watson: $2.39 million

Luke Musgrave: $2.11 million

Jayden Reed: $1.80 million

Savion Williams: $1.50 million (rookie)

Mecole Hardman: $1.50 million

Tucker Kraft: $1.38 million

Romeo Doubs: $1.09 million

Dontayvion Wicks: $1.03 million

Golden was drafted 23rd overall by the Packers during the 2025 NFL Draft.

The 5-foot-11 wide receiver out of the Texas wasn’t the only one of his position that Green Bay drafted. They also took Williams out of Texas Christian University (TCU) in the third round (No. 87 overall).

Green Bay had the fifth-best passing offence last season and are now giving quarterback Jordan Love even more weapons in preparation for the upcoming season.
