LeBron James and Anthony Davis may no longer be teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers, but it’s clear they still share a strong friendship.
During the Lakers’ recent game against the Dallas Mavericks, James and Davis were seen doing their handshake. What’s funny, however, is that the new Dallas big man was also caught flipping off his former L.A. teammate before tip-off, further highlighting the bond they have.
If that moment was not enough proof of their great relationship, though, Davis showed more love to James during the Mavericks’ NBA Play-In Tournament game against the Sacramento Kings.
For the showdown, Davis wore a mismatched pair of LeBron 22 PE, as noted by Sole Retriever.
When James saw the post, he couldn’t help but react. The Lakers star didn’t write any word, but he used several fire emojis to highlight how hyped he was to see Davis wear the sneakers.

Making the whole move even better, Anthony Davis actually dominated the game while wearing LeBron James’ shoes.
Davis recorded a team-high 27 points, along with nine rebounds and three blocks to lead the Mavericks to the 120-106 victory over the Kings.
As a result, the Mavericks are now heading to the final play-in game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. The winner of the showdown will earn the No. 8 seed and the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, so the importance of it cannot be understated.

Sure enough, it will be interesting to see if Davis can lead the Mavericks to the postseason. As for James, it’s safe to assume that he’ll be keeping an eye on his former teammate and what he does in Dallas.
