The Buffalo Bills’ secondary was perhaps the team’s most visible weakness in its AFC championship game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in January, and an elite solution to that problem just presented itself seemingly out of nowhere.
Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier told reporters on Tuesday, April 15, that the franchise and star cornerback Jalen Ramsey have mutually agreed that a trade is the appropriate path forward for both sides.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter spoke about that development on the Tuesday evening edition of SportsCenter, during which he suggested the Buffalo Bills as the top and most logical trade destination for the 30-year-old cornerback.

Ramsey is under contract for the next four seasons after inking a three-year extension worth $72 million in Miami. He started all 17 games for the Dolphins last season, and despite failing to earn Pro Bowl honors, he finished as the 10th-rated cornerback in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.
Ramsey has earned seven Pro Bowl selections along with First-Team All-Pro honors three times over the course of his nine-year professional career. He has amassed 108 pass breakups, 27 tackles for loss, 24 interceptions, six forced fumbles, three sacks and a defensive touchdown across stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams and Dolphins.
Buffalo finished 22nd in the league after allowing 4,100 yards through the air during the regular season. The 28 touchdowns that the Bills’ secondary surrendered tied them with the Dallas Cowboys for 25th in the NFL last year.
