While the focus of Wednesday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks was on Luka Doncic and his first game back in the Big D since being traded, Anthony Davis also turned plenty of heads with his gesture before the showdown started.
Prior to tip-off, Davis made sure to do his pregame handshakes with LeBron James and Jaxson Hayes, as well as hug Luka Doncic. What caught fans’ attention, however, was his action toward James right before the game started.
Davis appeared to flip off the 40-year-old superstar as he prepares for the jump ball. While it was quick, several viewers caught it from the video that the NBA posted on social media
“He flicked off bron,” a commenter wrote along with a laughing emoji. Another one said, “Did he just flip off bron.”
“AD flick LeBron off at the end,” a fan noticed.
A fourth fan remarked, “yall peep what ad did to bron.”
“No one talking abt how ad fliped bron off,” a social media user shared.
A poster further stated, “Not he pointed da middle finger to Bron.”

Clearly, Anthony Davis still shares a strong bond with LeBron James despite being sent to the Mavericks last February as part of the Luka Doncic trade.
They may no longer be teammates, but Davis knows he can still have fun with James. Sure enough, it’s not surprising considering that they won a championship and played together for over five years.
