According to ESPN’s projections, Bronny was a top-10 choice in the NBA Draft last February. Unfortunately, Bronny’s draft stock plummeted due to health problems and a disappointing USC rookie campaign.

In April, an unnamed NBA general manager informed The Ringer that Bronny is “nowhere near ready” to continue his father’s dominance over the past two decades and a half, during which time he became the league’s all-time top scorer, won four NBA championships, and was named NBA MVP four times.

“Bronny is nowhere near ready,” the general manager warned. “Whether or not he’s playing with his dad, he should return to school so he can develop at his own pace.”After having a heart episode during practice in July of last year, LeBron’s kid did not play in the first eight games of the NCAA season. Physicians confirmed Bronny’s diagnosis of “an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect”; in December, he made his collegiate basketball debut with USC, and his father was there to see the game.Looking on at his son’s debut meant “everything for my family,” LeBron told reporters. “From the moment we awoke until the buzzer rang out the zeros, it was simply a day filled with intense emotions and exhaustion.”

Bronny started six of the last twenty-five games for the club, but he struggled in the remaining games, averaging only 2.8 boards and 4.8 points.Throughout the NBA season, LeBron kept pumping up his son’s draft stock, even though he was having a tough time himself.

According to NBA contributor Claire de Lune of The Guardian, LeBron was overheard in the Los Angeles locker room in January saying that Bronny “could play for us right now, easy,” after a terrible streak in which the Lakers lost eight of their ten games and fell out of playoff contention.

Among LeBron’s last remaining aspirations for his legendary basketball career is to play in the NBA with his son Bronny.”I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny,” LeBron stated following the 2023 season. “Whether we’re competing against him or wearing the same uniform.”

At pre-draft workouts, Bronny allegedly pleased scouts and told reporters that he wants to leave an NBA legacy apart from his father’s. This information was sourced from ESPN.

As reported by the site, James expressed his long-term goal of becoming a well-known player in the NBA. “I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course, he’s brought it up a couple times.”

The final year of LeBron’s deal with the Lakers, valued at $51.4 million for the 2024–2025 season, is still up for grabs as of June 29, according to ESPN.
