The 51-year-old man with the most tattoos in the world and the image of his youth when “not on ink”: Has 200% of the skin to tattoo

Tattooing dates back to the Neolithic period, found from mummies around the 5th millennium BC in Egypt or Siberia. Many cultures have created their own tattoo techniques and styles.

And today, the world famous tattoo “four greats”, the first one is the record holder Gregory Paul McLaren, also known as Lucky Diamond Rich, born in 1971 in New Zealand. In 2006, the Guinness World Records organization certified Lucky as “the person with the most tattoos in the world”. They claim that he has tattooed 200% of his body, because he has tattooed his entire body twice.

Lucky’s tattoos are Blackwork style (shaped by large black patches covering a certain area of skin). Later he designed, tattooed them again with colored ink. In general, Lucky tattooed every part of his body, including every crevice and private area.

He tattooed some white on his black tattoo and added color. To turn Lucky Diamond Rich into a portable tattoo monument as it is today, it took 136 tattoo artists from different countries with more than 1000 hours of tattooing.

The special thing is that while for ordinary people, there will be sensitive places where few people dare to choose to tattoo because of pain, Lucky has tattooed “without leaving a single piece of skin”. This record holder tattooed eyelids, mouth, ears, soles of feet and … even gums and foreskin. This man born in 1971 has been interested in tattoos since he was a child, the first tattoo was from the age of 16 and by the age of 28, he completed the entire tattoo on his body.

“The first tattoo was done when I was 16 years old and was traveling with a circus. I’ve got a little bat juggling. I got it tattooed on my hip because I didn’t want my mom to see it. And from then on, I only tattooed one image at a time,” Rich shared.

Because the entire body is completely covered, it is almost impossible for this record holder to get another tattoo. The last tattoo done on Rich’s body was 6 years ago. The amount of money this man spends on tattoos is immeasurable because “whenever I have money to act, I get tattooed” .

He can live comfortably while traveling around, earning money by performing in the streets and partying every night until dawn after being recognized by the Guinness World Record. However, it was also this that caused him to fall when he only knew how to make money and play indiscriminately.

This record holder looks extremely “monstrous” when standing next to an ordinary person. He also often receives many curious glances from passersby (Photo: Internet).

Rich is still the world’s most tattooed man, but now he’s realized his insatiableness and left the stage. “Tattoos, performance and art really saved my life. I feel I have to respect the title of ‘the man with the most tattoos in the world’.”

Rich’s distinctive appearance always attracts the curious eyes of people around. But the 47-year-old doesn’t mind that. He even felt sorry for people whose lives were boring.
