Grandma waited until she turned 103 years old to brave getting her first tattoo

The 103-year-old grandmother from Michigan got her first tattoo as a birthday present for herself in this very special year.

Dorothy Pollack, a 103-year-old woman from Michigan, just got her first tattoo of a blue frog, her favorite animal more than anything.

In June, Dorothy Pollack celebrated her birthday at a nursing home in Muskegon, Michigan, USA. But due to the epidemic, she had to practice social isolation, so right after the difficult time ended, she marked her birthday with the first tattoo in her life.

Mrs. Dorothy Pollack shared: “It was quite interesting because many years ago my grandson encouraged me to get a tattoo but I have not been able to do it. To date, I have decided to give myself a gift. I like frogs. So I chose a tattoo of a green frog.”

While most people often wince at the needles, the old woman is very calm. Old lady Dorothy Pollack, despite her rare age, still has a lot of lucidity. Teresa Zavitz-Jones, the nurse who cared for her in a nursing home, shared her new tattoo in a Facebook post.

Ray Reasoner Jr., the artist who made the special tattoo for the grandmother, shared that he personally designed the tattoo for her. Ray Reasoner Jr said: “She really was like a champion. When I did her tattoo I didn’t even see a moment when she winced. It was an amazing experience. If someone has spent more than a century of life telling you to do something for them, you better do it now.”

After completing her wish, Mrs. Dorothy Pollack continued to fulfill her desire to go around on a motorbike. And of course those who love him are ready to help Dorothy Pollack fulfill his wish.

The story of a 103-year-old grandmother happily getting her first tattoo is proof that it’s never too late to make your dreams come true.
