Anthony Edwards calls LeBron James ‘nephew’, trash talks Anthony Davis

Anthony Edwards’ supreme confidence was on full display when he called 40-year-old LeBron James “nephew” during a Team USA bus ride, with EuroLeague star Nigel Hayes-Davis recalling the playful trash talk.

Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star guard Anthony Edwards is a player like no other, and a recent story about him proves just that.

EuroLeague star Nigel Hayes-Davis, who was part of the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s Select Team preparing the main Team USA for the Paris Olympics, shared a funny moment about Edwards’ “supreme” confidence.

He recalled Edwards calling 40-year-old superstar LeBron James “nephew” during a bus ride.

“We’re on the bus and Anthony Edwards was just talking shit the whole time,” Hayes-Davis said on the Triple Threat Show. “It’s unbelievable cause he’s just sitting there and calling Bron nephew, which is crazy.

“He’s like, ‘Nephew, I was killing y’all.’ I’m sitting and just thinking, ‘Wow, this guy.’ His confidence is unbelievable,” he added. “And again, that’s why he’s so great. He’s trash talking like, ‘AD, you can’t f**k with me; Bron, you can’t f**k with me.’

“It’s just hilarious,” Fenerbahce forward continued. “He’s actually 100% like that all the time, what you see on the court, in the interviews, he’s like that all the time.”
