BREAKING: Bengals and WR Ja’Marr Chase agree to four-year, $161M deal.

The Bengals paid a heck of a lot more than they would have if they extended their duo of star WRs last offseason, but they got the deals done.

WR1 Ja’Marr Chase agreed to a four-year, $161 million deal that includes $112 million guaranteed, while Higgins agreed to a four-year, $115 million deal, guaranteed for two years.

The Bengals took the risk of not resigning Chase to a new contract heading into the final year of his rookie contract, only for him to put up a triple crown in 2024 while Higgins was hit with the franchise tag for the past two years.

While Cincinnati now has their big three under contract for the foreseeable future, it will be even more of a struggle to stop teams on defense and ultimately contend in the AFC.
