Dallas soap opera continues: Cowboys legend sides with DeMarcus Lawrence, blasts 'delusional' Micah Parsons again | Marca

The Dallas Cowboys are no strangers to drama, but the latest saga between Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence has taken things to a new level. After Lawrence bolted for the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $42 million deal in free agency, he didn’t hold back, saying, “I know for sure I’m not going to win a Super Bowl” in Dallas.

That jab lit a fuse with Parsons, the Cowboys’ star linebacker, who fired back on X, calling it “rejection and envy” and “clown shit.” Lawrence clapped back with, “Calling me a clown won’t change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn’t have left.” Enter Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, who’s stepping in with a blunt reality check for Parsons: “Stop being delusional.

Irvin, a Hall of Famer with three Super Bowl rings from his Dallas days, jumped into the fray on FS1’s The Herd on March 14. “Micah, you gotta understand-Lawrence isn’t wrong here,” Irvin said, defending the veteran’s rant.

He’s been in the trenches with this team for 11 years, and he’s seen the same old story. You can’t just dismiss that experience.” Irvin’s take isn’t about picking sides-it’s about perspective. Parsons, at 25, is a defensive juggernaut, but the Cowboys’ playoff drought stretches back to 1995, a fact Lawrence knows all too well after a decade-plus with the team.

Lawrence says his truth and many are with him

The feud kicked off when Lawrence’s comments hit X, igniting Parsons’ fiery response. Fans are eating it up, with posts trending about locker room tension that’s been “brewing for a while,” as one insider put it on 105.3 The Fan. Irvin, though, sees it as a wake-up call. “Micah’s the best player on that defense, no question,” he noted.

But acting like the Cowboys are one step from a ring? That’s delusional right now. Lawrence is speaking from a place of truth.” It’s a tough pill for Parsons, who’s still chasing that elusive postseason glory.

Lawrence’s exit after 61.5 sacks and four Pro Bowls left a sting, and his words cut deeper by exposing Dallas’ struggles. Parsons, meanwhile, is the face of the franchise’s future, but Irvin’s siding with the vet’s honesty over the young star’s optimism.

You don’t have to like it, Micah, but you’ve got to hear it,” Irvin added. As the Cowboys gear up for 2025, this verbal sparring’s got everyone wondering what’s simmering beneath the surface in Big D
