Kupp won the “triple crown” in 2021, leading the NFL in receptions, reception yards and reception touchdowns.

The Dallas Cowboys are “not considered the likely landing spot” to land former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp after the team reportedly “made a push” for him, according to reports.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter and The Athletic’s Diana Russini initially reported Friday morning that Dallas was interested in signing former Kupp. Russini reported that the Seattle Seahawks were also in play for Kupp, and Schefter said Kupp was expected to make a decision as early as Friday.
Schefter later reported “while the Cowboys made what one source described as ‘a push’ for Cooper Kupp, they still are not considered the likely landing spot” for him, citing an anonymous source. Russini said Kupp’s asking price “has been a hold-up for a number of interested teams, per sources.”
Kupp, 31, a Super Bowl champion with the Rams, won the “triple crown” in 2021, leading the NFL in receptions, reception yards and reception touchdowns. The Rams won the Super Bowl the same year Kupp won the triple crown, beating the Bengals 23-20.
Kupp would be a welcomed addition to the Cowboys passing attack, which features CeeDee Lamb, who nearly missed out on a triple crown title of his own in 2023. Lamb led the league in receptions in 2023, but finished only 50 yards and one touchdown behind Tyreek Hill.
Kupp, an Eastern Washington product, was released by the Rams earlier this week. He was in a three-year, $80 million contract extension with Los Angeles, according to Spotrac, but the Rams opted to let him go.
In eight seasons in Los Angeles, Kupp caught 634 passes for 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns. He would be the latest — and by far, the biggest — free agency addition to the Cowboys this year.
