Vikings’ Sam Darnold Impresses J.J. McCarthy, NFL Fans with 4 TDs in Win vs. Texans
The Minnesota Vikings remained undefeated after another outstanding performance from quarterback Sam Darnold on Sunday.
The offseason addition posted 181 passing yards and four touchdowns as Minnesota downed the Houston Texans, a team many believe is capable of competing deep into the postseason this year.
Darnold has not been a regular starter since the 2022 season when he was with the Carolina Panthers, but was called upon to lead the Vikings after Kirk Cousins departed in free agency and first-round pick J.J. McCarthy suffered a season-ending injury before the start of the year.
So far, he’s been nothing short of impressive in Minnesota.

The last time Darnold threw more than 10 touchdowns in a season was his second year in the league in 2019 with the New York Jets. Now just three games into the year, he’s just two touchdowns away from surpassing the double-digit mark.
The former third-overall pick had 208 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns in a win over the New York Giants in Week 1 before upsetting the San Francisco 49ers behind his 268 passing yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings have another test coming up next week as they take on the Green Bay Packers, and Darnold will look to continue his magical season.
