Netflix has just premiered its new series, Starting 5, a program that follows NBA stars LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards, Jimmy Butler, and Domantas Sabonis’ journey during the 2023-24 NBA season.
On Monday (Sept. 23), Netflix held an official event previewing the series, which took place at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles. The premiere was attended by the show’s starring cast, as well as additional big names in the realms of sports and entertainment.
Consisting of ten episodes that explore themes of teamwork, perseverance, and the bonds that form through shared passion, Netflix’s Starting 5 is sure to resonate with sports enthusiasts and intrigued casuals alike.
Scheduled for release on Oct. 9, Starting 5 will center its focus on “battles on and off the court as they chase greatness, push through injuries, and balance the demands of family and legacy.”
