“She’s the wrong color and has boyfriend” – Caitlin Clark gets snubbed from WNBA playoffs poster despite record-breaking season; fans furious

WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark not appearing on the Playoff poster irks the fanbase despite being the biggest superstar in the league.

Caitlin Clark

WNBA and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has caught the attention of the basketball community lately. Clark has been a stellar player for her side in the WNBA in her debut season. She has put up great numbers and is one of the most influential players in the league already. Despite this, the Fever star did not make the WNBA Playoffs poster released on social media.

The WNBA tweeted, “THE STAGE IS SET,” asking fans to predict which of the eight clubs will win the championship. It also featured members from each playoff team. The Fever’s representative? Two-time All-Star Kelsey Mitchell. Fans were left gobsmacked, especially considering what a superstar Clark has been in the WNBA this season.

Not only that, but her presence in the WNBA this season has also recorded a record TV viewership during her games with the Fever. One fan highlighted that the WNBA may be biased towards ‘Black athletes.’ The fan wrote on X, “Racism is real, but it’s the reverse of what many think,” regarding Clark not making the poster.

Many believe Clark deserves more attention and assistance from the league. She has single-handedly carried her Fever side to the WNBA Playoffs. Before Clark, the Fever were struggling to qualify for the Playoffs. In just one season, she has taken them to the Playoffs. It remains to be seen now how this situation will unfold in the coming days.

Furious Jason Whitlock and Fans react to WNBA not including Caitlin Clark

The WNBA recently released its Playoff poster on its official social handles. However, this did not go down well with the basketball community, as Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark did not make it on the poster. The biggest superstar in the league not appearing on the poster will not sit well with the fans.

Notably, conservative commentator Jason Whitlock was left furious with the WNBA’s decision to leave Clark out as he took to social media to put forward his views.

This is hilarious. The WNBA is embarrassed by its savior because she's the wrong color and has a boyfriend.

Along with Whitlock, many fans took to various social media apps to put forward their views and thoughts regarding the WNBA star. One fan wrote on X, “Not having Clark on this graphic is yet another example of the WNBA having no clue what they’re doing in regards to marketing their product.” Check out some of the reactions below:

Nevertheless, as fans seemed to be making a lot of noise, Clark will remain unfazed by this. Her sole focus is on taking her side to the WNBA Finals after securing a playoff spot. Clark is also in the running for the ROTY Award alongside Chicago Sky star Angel Reese. Hence, seeing how Clark performs in the WNBA Playoffs this season will be intriguing.
