Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Lamb and Diggs are expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get back into the win column this weekend after they got embarrassed at home in Week 2 by the New Orleans Saints. It was an ugly performance by the Cowboys, who got outplayed on both sides of the ball.
Nevertheless, things don’t get easier for Dallas as they will face a Baltimore Ravens team that still hasn’t won a game yet this season. On Wednesday, the Cowboys had two key starters pop up on the injury report.
Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb reportedly didn’t practice on Wednesday because of an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs also missed practice with a foot injury.
This wasn’t ideal news for Dallas as Lamb and Diggs are integral to the Cowboys’ success on offense and defense. However, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy quelled the fears fans may have had about those two players being injured on Thursday.
Cowboys News: CeeDee Lamb, Trevon Diggs Expected to Play on Sunday
According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, McCarthy told reporters on Thursday that Lamb and Diggs’ injuries are not of high concern, and the expectation is that both guys will play Sunday.

Lamb had a solid performance in Dallas’ Week 2 loss against the Saints. The 25-year-old wide receiver recorded four receptions (seven targets) for 90 yards and a touchdown.
The Cowboys will look for another huge game from Lamb on Sunday. The star receiver will be defended by Ravens standout cornerback Marlon Humphrey. As for Diggs, he played okay in Week 2, recording five combined tackles and only allowing one catch on his lone coverage target.
That will likely change this week as the Ravens try to pepper second-year wide receiver Zay Flowers with targets. Even though Lamb and Diggs’ injuries aren’t much to worry about, the Cowboys are still one-point road underdogs on DraftKings Sportsbook against the Ravens.
The oddsmakers aren’t sure that Dallas can win on Sunday, but with Lamb and Diggs on the field, the Cowboys are giving themselves a great chance to claim victory.
