The New York Mets had a special guest in attendance at Citi Field on Monday.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry made an appearance as the Mets took on the Boston Red Sox.

Curry wasn’t wearing a Mets or Red Sox hat, seemingly keeping his allegiance neutral as he enjoyed the game.

The four-time champion and two-time MVP had an eventful summer, leading Team USA to gold in the Paris Olympics last month behind a pair of historical performances.

In the semifinal game against Serbia, Curry dropped 36 points, hitting nine three-pointers for the second-highest scoring performance by an American at the Olympics. He followed that up with 24 points in the gold-medal game against France, putting up 12 points in the fourth quarter to earn his first Olympic medal.

With the Olympics behind him, Curry seems to be relaxing a bit before the start of the season in October.

But as Curry enjoys the offseason, the Mets and Red Sox are looking to ensure their offseasons don’t start prematurely.

New York is 73-64 on the year, sitting just one game back from the National League wild card. Boston has a bit more work to do, sitting four games back from the American League wild card at 70-67.
