49ers Rookie Ricky Pearsall Survives Shooting in San Francisco Robbery Attempt

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery in Union Square, San Francisco, on Saturday, according to reports. NBC Bay Area’s Gia Vang confirmed on social media that the incident occurred and that the suspected assailant has been apprehended by the police. San Francisco Supervisor Aaron Peskin’s office indicated that Pearsall is in stable condition following the incident and is being closely monitored.

Kirsten Moran-Kellar of Fox40 detailed that Pearsall, who was recently drafted 31st overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the 49ers, sustained a gunshot wound through his arm but thankfully remained stable and coherent enough to give a report to the police. The suspected robber reportedly suffered a chest wound during the apprehension.

Further support and confirmation of Pearsall’s condition came from his teammate, Deebo Samuel, who expressed relief and gratitude about Pearsall’s well-being on social media, stating “He’s goodšŸ¤žšŸ¾šŸ™šŸ¾. Thank god!!!!”



San Francisco Mayor London Breed’s office also issued a statement following the incident underscoring the swift response of the San Francisco Police Department and extending thoughts to Pearsall and his family. The Mayor’s office promised further updates as they become available.
