Messi quietly covered his arms and legs in just a few years, a total of 18 “unique” pictures: Tattooed and fixed all after only 1 month, now addicted to tattoos

The 2022 World Cup is said to be the last World Cup in Messi’s playing career. He and his teammates in Argentina excellently reached the final and were only one win away from the prestigious gold cup against the defending champion France.

In addition to his excellence on the pitch, many have also expressed interest in Messi’s life, as he is known as a gentle and somewhat serious player in life outside of his playing career. In the past few years, the Argentine striker has continuously made unexpected changes. He changes his hairstyle and sometimes dyes it blonde to look stylish.

Not only that, but Messi shows that he also loves tattoos. While his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo has no tattoos, attributed to his frequent blood donation, the PSG and Argentina star has tattoos all over his body. Messi is said to have quietly covered his arms and legs in just a few years.

Messi’s body art changes over the years and his football career. One of Messi’s first tattoos was the face of his mother, Celia, on his left shoulder blade. The striker has a very close relationship with his mother. In 2018, Messi began tattooing the names and birth dates of all three sons Thiago, Mateo and Ciro on his right ankle.

The part of the tattoo that Messi keeps the longest on his body (not corrected) is also his strong faith in Jesus (Photo: Internet).

Messi also has several tattoos on his right arm and has kept them for many years. Near the shoulder is an image of Jesus, said to have originated from the football star’s religious beliefs. On the inside of his arm, Messi has an eye tattoo, apparently inspired by his wife Antonella Roccuzzo, and a small tiara.

Images of flowers, possibly based on the famous Santa Maria del Pi church in Barcelona, appear on Messi’s elbow. And the striking clock tattoo is no less an expression of the non-stop journey of the player born in 1987.

Messi also has a tattoo dedicated to his wife. The artwork located on the left hip is an image of a pair of lips, tattooed in red ink.

The striker, who used to wear the number 10 shirt at Barcelona, has also removed or changed some tattoos. The most prominent tattoos that Messi owns are on his left leg. He used to have a sword, angel wings and a red rose tattooed in this position.

However, it is now all replaced with a picture of the hand and the name of Thiago, the player’s first son. This tattoo change took place in just 1 month. Many people joked that Messi seems to be very “tired and bored” in tattooing.

Messi has also expressed immense enjoyment when he saw a Brazilian fan tattooed a picture of him celebrating his iconic goal against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on his back. Upon learning about it, the 33-year-old player offered to sign the tattoo one day he met the fan.

“This tattoo is crazy. I like it too. I want to see it with my own eyes and if possible, let me sign it.” Not long after, the two also had the opportunity to meet and Messi even reached over the fence just to sign his name on the back with this tattoo that made him “crazy”. The fan boy then kept his signature and decided to tattoo this part of Messi’s signature as well.
