Girl with blue eye tattoo shocked

Anaya Peterson (32 years old, living in Belfast, Northern Ireland) has had her eyeball tattooed blue despite warnings that she was likely to go blind and is now losing her sight.

Speaking to The New York Post on December 6, Peterson said: ” I originally intended to get one eye tattoo because I thought that if I was blind, at least I would have the other eye. I should have done that .” “My daughter totally disagreed with that and asked what if I went blind?” she added.

Now Peterson wishes that he should listen to his wise 7-year-old. The woman was hospitalized after having a reaction to the tattoo ink and she is now at risk of cataracts.

“I couldn’t see well, my vision was very limited. If I hadn’t had the eyeball tattoo, I wouldn’t have had this problem. And that’s dangerous because it’s impossible to remove the ink from the eye,” Peterson said.

For months after getting her right eye blue tattooed in July 2020, she had no complications. Despite dry skin and headaches, Peterson chose to have his left eyeball tattooed purple in December of that year.

In August 2021, things take a turn for the worst. One day, she woke up with unbelievably puffy eyelids. When the symptoms got worse, she decided to go to the hospital to get checked.

“It was painful to go through that. On the outside, my eyes were gone and looked like they were healed, but on the inside I was about to go blind,” Peterson recalls.

“If I could go back in time, I would only have one black eye tattooed,” she said.

Because tattooing has damaged the eyes

Despite the grim truth, Peterson remains optimistic about the negative comments she receives online.

“I told my daughter not to care about other people’s opinions because they are just normal people like her. There are positive comments and negative comments, but negative comments always overshadow the positive comments,” she shared her opinion.

Peterson says that an eyeball tattoo will never lead to blindness if done properly. And unfortunately this happened to her again.
